MIKA AHOLA WINS HIS FIFTH CONSECUTIVE WORLD TITLE BECOMING THE FIRST RIDER TO WIN IN ALL THE THREE CLASSES. JEREMY JOLY IS EJ WORLD CHAMPION
In the French Grand Prix on October 1st and 2nd, valid as eighth and final round of the 2011 Enduro World Championship, the for fingers were towards the sky of Mende, in France. It was a weekend full of extraordinary emotions for Honda-HM-Zanardo Team, on Sunday winner of E3 World Title with Mika Ahola. It is the first one in this class, but the fifth consecutive after the two won in 2007 and 2010 in E2, and the other two conquered in 2008 and 2009 in E1 class. Honda-HM Zanardo Team and Ahola won with heart in a season all to framed.
On Sunday arrived the second World Title thanks to the young French Jeremy Joly. He is the new EJ class World Champions at the end of a fought sporting season, specially with the Spanish Mario Roman.
The eighth round of the Enduro World Championship was in the town of Mende, in the Lozere region, situated in the center of France, and was the apotheosis of this 2011 season, marked with the debut in E3 class of Mika Ahola with the HM-Honda CRE F500R.
Since Saturday, when Ahola conquered the victory of the day and also the title, the race was filled with moments of struggle, emotions, plot twists and spectacular performance by a super rider as Ahola is. Mende closed the 2011 Enduro World Championship not only with the great affirmation of Ahola, but also with the confirmation of the whole Honda-HM-Zanardo.
Thanks to Ahola, Saturday was a historic day for the two wheels of the legendary HM CRE, but also Sunday was a great day because Jeremy Joly conquered the EJ World Title.
It was not an easy victory for the young French. He finished second on Saturday after a struggle with Romain Dumontier, who allowed him to take an advantage of eight points on the Spanish Mario Roman. While on Sunday Joly conquered the EJ title, thanks to a stunning second place.
To complete the successes of Honda-HM Zanardo Team contributed Rodrig Thain too. Fourth in the final standings of E1 class, on Saturday he had to be satisfied of the fourth position, redeeming on Sunday with a great victory after a long battle with Salminen.
